AWH serves over 300,000 people across the Victorian and NSW border — one of the largest regional health catchments in Australia. Yet the Commonwealth's co-investment in the $558M redevelopment is just 3.6% ($20M), compared to 24% for the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital — a facility serving a smaller catchment.

I am asking you to:

1. Publicly explain the rationale for the 3.6% federal contribution to AWH, and whether this will be reviewed against comparable regional hospital benchmarks.

2. Commit to a Phase 2 single-site planning process, with federal co-investment confirmed in writing before the current brownfield construction begins.

3. Support a renegotiation of the 2009 Intergovernmental Agreement to establish clear accountability between Victoria, NSW, and the Commonwealth for AWH's long-term future.

4. Release the December 2023 letter from the AWH CEO and Board Chair to both state ministers regarding the brownfield plan's limitations.

The community has been patient. 300,000 people deserve transparent governance and equitable federal investment.
